You’re More Than Beautiful: The Mirror & The Journey
Insightful Conversations & Book Signing
Join us for an inspiring, intergenerational gathering celebrating beauty, identity, confidence, womanhood, and purpose. Hosted by author April Lynn Pelton, You’re More Than Beautiful invites girls and women to break the silence of “You’re not enough” and embrace the truth that they are beautifully and wonderfully made with purpose and power.
Through three meaningful conversations, our panelists will share personal experiences, generational wisdom, and encouragement to help girls and women recognize their worth and embrace their journeys.
Topic I: Before the World Told Me Who to Be
Featuring Ida Hathman and Peya Jones
Explore the foundations of childhood identity and the importance of surrounding young girls with women who believe in their dreams. This conversation highlights how encouragement, mentorship, and support can help girls build confidence, discover their gifts, and believe in what is possible for their futures.
Topic II: Breaking the Silence of “You’re Not Enough”
Featuring Dr. Gwendolyn Morrison
This discussion explores the pressures teenage girls face surrounding comparison, social media, body image, friendships, rejection, and self-confidence. Together, we’ll consider how women can help young girls navigate these challenges, protect their sense of self-worth, and embrace who they truly are.
Topic III: Becoming Her
Featuring April Lynn Pelton and Iris Pelton-Hamlett
Explore the journey from insecurity to identity, purpose, and self-discovery. Through reflections on faith, relationships, education, career aspirations, and womanhood, this conversation will share wisdom about growing into the women we hope to become while recognizing that the journey of becoming never truly ends.
More than a book signing, this gathering is an opportunity to connect generations, share stories, and pass wisdom from one woman to the next. From young girls discovering their potential to seasoned women sharing the lessons they have learned, every voice has a place in this conversation.
