January 2023 — Kinfolk House Announces Spring 2023 Project “Woven Together” Centering Self-Care and Community Healing

Kinfolk House announced today the details of its spring project, Woven Together, featuring work by Kandy G. Lopez, Isabel Wilson, and Deyjah Stewart. The latest exhibition will launch with an opening reception Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 2 pm - 5 pm. Building off of the November 2022 collaborative program with United Fort Worth and ICE Out of Tarrant, which celebrated and honored the life and humanity of the local community, Kinfolk House launches into the new year exploring themes of self-care and community healing.

For the 2023 projects, Kinfolk House continues to showcase works by local, regional, and national artists. Fort Worth-based multimedia artist Deyjah Stewart was selected from a pool of applicants to be the featured local artist this spring. Her work, which uses fabric and wood furniture to create assemblage installations, guided Kinfolk’s choice of additional artists to invite to be part of this upcoming project.
